Nokia applies for foldable battery patient will enter smartwatch segment

Nokia has applied for a foldable battery patient which clearly indicates its ambitions of entering the wearable technology business.

There is also a possibility that Nokia might end up generating revenues via patent royalties rather than actually launching a smart watch, now that Nokia will be acquired by Microsoft.

This patient is very useful in boosting the battery life of the smartwatch and many manufacturers will line up for using it and paying royalties to Nokia.
