After Yahoo and Bing it's now Google which did cosmetic changes to it's logo, to the naked eye it might not seem a huge difference as the new logo retains the color and font only thing which has changed is the font effect.
Earlier it was a slightly roundish and some what 3d logo and now it's pure flat. Is Google trying to signal some UI changes which will make it's products user experience simpler, only time will tell.
